MRS. BALLARD
VALLEY -- Mrs Pearl Ballard, 91of Valley died Tuesday March 25, 2003 at Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 27 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Danny terry and Steve Garnett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard is survived by two daughters, Nancy Allen of Bremen, Ga., and Billie Nix of Valley; two sisters, Annie Mae Washburn of Camp Hill, Ala., and Helen Burgess of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, John Will Hamby of Lincoln, Ala., and Wayne Hamby of Mexico; three grandchilden and three great-grandchldren.
Born Aug. 31, 1911 in Tallapoosa County, Ala., Mrs. Ballard was a former employee of WestPoint Pepperell where she worked in the Towel Department and in the Mill Store. She was a charter member of Fairfax Fist Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Ballard; four brothers, one sister and on grandson. She was the daughter of the late Martha Hester Hamby and Jessie Benjamin Hamby.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fairfax First Baptist Church in her memory.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 26 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
