Joseph Scott Davis, 87, of Monticello died February 14, 1991 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Funeral services were held at Monticello United Methodist Church with burial in Monticello cemetery.

Mr. Davis was born March 1, 1903 in Piatt County a s/o Joseph Colfax and Cora Scott Davis. He married Wilma Eades on May 19, 1948 at Oxford IN. She survives along with three sons: Harry of Monticello; Joe of Danville; and Ron of Sacramento CA; one daughter, Cody Sanantonio of Monticello; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson and three sisters.

Mr. Davis was a general contractor; member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and Monticello Masonic Lodge. He sang in barbershop quartets for many years. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and was an ardent Cubs fan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornbelt Lung Association.
