Jay Oliver Abney, 26, of 404 Sycamore Ave., Linda, who
was killed in a traffic accident yesterday. The services will
be held at 2 p.m. in the Lipp & Sullivan chapel, Marysville.
-Abney is survived by his wife, Velma Lee Abney of Sacra-
mento; his stepfather and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Max Ridley
of Linda, and his father, Jay Abney of Sacramento.
-Abney died early yesterday when the heavy truck he was
driving on Pelger Rd. in Sutter County, left the roadway,
jumped a 15 foot water ditch and crashed against the
embankment.
- Sutter County Coroner B.W. Ullrey said today that an
