Flossie was the daughter of Charles W. and Nancy (Draper) Stoops. She was the sister of Glennie Vern Stoops and half-sister of Charles Chalmer Stoops. She married Ira "Doc" Cottingham on October 30, 1921. They had no children. Flossie was an excellent cook - her burnt sugar cake and sugar cream pies were out of this world!
