Obituary: HENRY STEWART BELLIS - Aurora - Henry Stewart Bellis, 93, Aurora, died at 11:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Mt. Vernon Place Care Center following a long illness.
He was born July 8, 1906, in Butler, PA., to J. Z. and Laura Croop Bellis. He had lived most of his life in the Aurora area. He was a retired farmer and a member of Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church, north of Aurora.
He married Bernice Moore Aug. 16, 1930. She died Sept. 21, 1997. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Sylvia Bellis, Mildred Hannah and Dorothy Romine, and three brothers, Orville, Arthur and Loyd Bellis.
Survivors include a son, Dale Bellis, Aurora; three daughters, Doris Means and Avanetlle Jones, both of Aurora, and Joyce Clark, Spring, Tex.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and four step-great- grandchildren.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in CraftonCantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, with the Revs. Don Gardner and Robert Gould officiating. Burial was in Orange Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church."
