Two men of Co E 14th Ohio buried next to Corpl Brendle on the battlefield were buried as Unknowns in plots E 5735 and E 5736. These men are probably William Heatley and Weedon H. Harris.
A man of Co I 14th Ohio is buried as an Unknown in E 5729 next to 1st Sergt James F Pray and Levi Reeder, both also of Co I.
Corporal Brendle's mother, Sarah Breadle, received a mother's pension 28 June 1880.
