Ethel L. Barton, 79, of 2316 Saline Ave., Eldorado, died 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado.
Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Lindale Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Wilson and Father Ignatius Okonkwo officiating. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado.
She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Eldorado to Jesse and Saleeta (Palmer) Murphy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Coomes Jr., her second husband, Cesare Carnaghi and her third husband, Buell "Bud" Barton.
She was retired from K-Mart in Harrisburg. She was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
She is survived by a daughter, Paulette (Robert) Gans of Eldorado; a sister, Nell (Joe) Dolden; two grandchildren, Steve (Michele) Gans and Christopher (Stacy) Gans; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Channing Weireman, Dakota and Shawnee Gans; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Bernard, Jesse, Harold, Glen, Donald and Billy R. Murphy; and five sisters, Rudell Williams, Kathleen Price, Margaret Mundy, Helen Kelley and Beulah Ingles.
