John Burns born in Roscommon Co. Ireland in 1845 died Feb 22, 1923 enlisted in Co A 15th NJ Volunteers July 28, 1862. Discharged near Halls Hill, VA June 16, 1865 for wounded received at the battle of Spotsylvania Court House, VA on May 12, 1864. He was loyal to his adopted country until death.
