Needham Julius Coke, 90, retired of Salters and Kingstree, SC, died on the night of February 26, 1951, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.M. Mims in Sumter, SC.

A son of the late S.J. Coker and hannah Osborne Coker of Williamsburg Co., SC, he was twice married. His first wife was formerly Lizzie Godwin. Of this union, one daughter, Mrs. Mims, and one son, Muldrow Coker of Johnsonville, SC, survive. His second wife, who died in recent years, was formerly Ruel V. Eaddy. Of this union, one son, Charlie Coker of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Mrs. T.B. Bessinger of Beaufort, SC, Mrs. Raymond N. Lary of Charleston, SC, and Mrs. Clinton Lyerly of Hemingway, SC; and one step-son, E. Eaddy of Myrtle Beach, SC, survive. Other survivors include 36 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
