Funeral services for Grady Shirley, 96 of Winnsboro will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. George Ferrington officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
He was born to Johnny and Nola Curry Shirley on January 9, 1910 in Winnfield and passed from this life Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
Mr. Shirley was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and retired from Northeast LA Power Cooperative. He was preceded in death by his wife Evalene Shirley and a son Donnie Shirley.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law JoAnne and Aubrey Bennett of Winnsboro; daughter-in-law Brenda Shirley of Winnsboro; four grandchildren Dawn Bennett, Miranda Tarver, Karla Shirley and Alan Shirley; four great-grandchildren Dustin Crawford, Joshua Boles, Shelby Crawford, and Allie Tarver; a host of brothers and sisters other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ira Browning, William Hatton, Bryan Hunt, Ronald Tarver, Jared Wilson, and J.C. Winters.
