She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Ohio and a 1951 graduate from Lancaster High School and School Colors were Purple and Gold.
Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leon Dickson; daughter, Michelle Dickson of Lancaster, Ohio; sons, Gregory (Debbie) Dickson of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Michael (Kelly) Dickson of Baltimore, Ohio; grandchildren, Dianna, Jennifer, Taylor, Joshua, Andrew and Matthew Dickson; great-grandchildren, Brice Bennett and Julian Jackson; sister, Berndine (Lawrence) Reynolds; cousin, Edith Benson; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Fletch.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Valley View Nursing Center and FairHOPe Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Dickson; parents, Henry and Mary Wachter; and brothers, William Wachter and Raymond Wachter.
Services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster, Ohio, with Minister Bob Heston officiating.
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
