Obituary
"Boulder Daily Camera" posted on Monday, February 12, 1894 for Maj. William F. Wilder:

"At his home in this city on Sunday, February 11, 1893, William F. Wilder passed away after a long illness. Deceased had been a sufferer for several months from dropsy, the immediate cause of death being heart failure. Major Wilder was well known in every section of Colorado, having come to this state in 1859 along with D.H. Moffat, Eben Smith and Jerome B. Chaffee. His geniality and courtesy were traits of conduct which attached him to a wide circle of friends. His home in this city was a happy one. His two sons, Fred and "Cliff" Wilder arrived in Boulder today. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 3 p.m. tomorrow and the remains will be consigned to Riverside cemetery, near Denver, the funeral procession starting from Miller's undertaking establishment. Major Wilder died on his 59th birthday, being a native of Ohio."
