Mrs. Annie Bell Carter, 82, of Wausau, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. Mrs. Carter was born on April 5, 1926 in Washington County to George and Eva (Mayo) Walsingham. She was of the Holiness faith and a member of the Wausau Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by a son, Roy Lee Carter of Wausau; a daughter, Wanda Ann Joyner of Wausau; one sister, Gladys Johns of Sunnyhills; four grandchildren: Tim and Steven Carter, Melissa (Joyner) Redus and Chad Joyner; seven great grandchildren: Candice, Monica, Caleb and Christopher Carter, Madison Redus, Jestiny, Fallon and Kendall; and a great great grandchild, Christian.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: J. G. Walsingham and Edward Walsingham; and three sisters: Orene Carroll, Ellefair Hess and Mimmie Mae Walsingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at the Wausau Assembly of God with the Rev. T. A. Greene, Rev. James Vickery and Rev. Danny Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Wausau Memorial Gardens with Brown Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Brickyard Road from 6 until 8 p.m.
