El Cajon, Calif. - DELLA FAIR BARNETT, 86, formerly of Baldwyn, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, in El Cajon, Calif. She was a graduate of Wheeler High School, where she played basketball. She moved to California and worked at Douglas Aircraft. Later she moved to Memphis and worked at Kimberly-Clark. She returned to California, and owned and operated a grocery store and trailer park. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Prentiss Memorial Gardens. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of local arrangements. Survivors include one son, John Norris Barnett (Joann) of El Cajon, Calif.; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eckford Carl Barnett, and a son, Eckford Carl Barnett Jr. (Published in The Daily Journal, www.djournal.com, 4/3/2008)
