Ethel Anderson lived at the "Sallie House" from about 1958 up through 1990. This house is supposedly haunted and was featured on the t.v. show "Haunted" and "Unsolved Mysteries".

Mrs. Anderson however never noticed any paranormal activity in the home. She told all who asked how life in the house was normal and had no paranormal activity for her.


Ethel Anderson was a very special lady to many.


Obituary for Mrs. Anderson:

Ethel Honore Anderson, 94, a resident of Atchison, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Medicalodge at Atchison where she had lived the past four years.

Mrs. Anderson worked for 52 years in the nursing profession, retiring from Jefferson County Memorial Hospital, Winchester, in 1980 at the age of 75. She had served as director of nursing there for 25 years. Prior to employment there she had spent much of her time as a private duty nurse and had been employed at Atchison Hospital and St. John Hospital, Leavenworth.

She was born Oct. 10, 1905 in the Good Intent Community, the daughter of Thomas R. and Honora A. Baker Mullins.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church.

Her parents, five sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters, a son, 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
