Eldora Elmore, age 83, of Ozark, formerly of Blue Earth, died Sept. 7, 2008, at Mercy Villa in Springfield, Mo. Funeral services were held Sept. 12, 2008, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, Rev. Wane Souhrada officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Canova, S.D., the daughter of Erik and Hilda (Palmquist) Erikson.

Eldora was raised in South Dakota and came to Blue Earth in 1941. She was married to Donald K. Elmore on Dec. 11, 1945 in Blue Earth. Eldora was a homemaker and has also worked seasonally for Green Giant in Blue Earth. The couple moved to Ozark in 1986 where Eldora became a member of the Cassidy United Methodist Church in Nixa. She was also active in the Senior Citizens Center and was President of the Oats Senior Citizen Bus Transportation Service in Ozark. She enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Eldora is survived by her son, Robert (Susan) Elmore of Ozark, her daughter Sheryl (Bob) Cressinger of Jackson, her sisters, Sylvia Handlin of Fairmont and Elaine (Darvine) Cottew of Fairmont, her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald in 1997, son-in-law, John Dorschner, eight brothers and three sisters.
