Services were held Wednesday in Atoka Funeral Chapel for Thomas Brooks man who passed on July 16 in Atoka Hospital.
Bro. Harold Griffin of Atoka Church of Christ was in charge of services and interment was in Gerty cemetery. Mr. Brooks was born May 13, 1901 at Mena, Arkansas, the son of John Henry Brooks and Maud Clemenes Brooks. He is survived by his wife Laura of Atoka; a son, Duard of Tulsa: a daughter, Yvone Lancy of Allen; six grandchildren, a step son, William Joseph Smith of Oklahoma City, and a step grandson, and three sisters: Ernestine Star of Tahlequah, Jessie Thomas of Fort Worth TX, and Sue Johnson of Coron, CA. Pall bearers were Tom Kilmer, Tom Clayburn, Luke Sanders, Ray Ladd and Standley Ridgeway.
