Lillian was the first of eight children born to Edith Blanche and Henry Clinton Dimmitt on October 11, 1913 in Mount Vernon, Indiana. When she became of age she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She confessed a hope in the Lord and was baptized in Jesus name and was filled with the Holy Ghost. At the same time God blessed her with the love of her life, Thomas Weil Wright and they were married on November 27, 1938. To this union six children were born, Edythe Ole Mae, Shirley Ann, Thomas Clifford, James Arnold, Linda Blanche and Cynthia Evette.

For ten years Lillian worked at Riley's Children's Hospital but soon realized that raising her children was more important so she became a full time caregiver for her family. She was a strict disciplinarian and believed her children should be fed physically and spiritually.

Her parents, three sisters, Maxine Clara (Dimmitt) Wright, Glowdean (Dimmitt) Jackson, and Claudean (Dimmitt) Arnold, two brothers, Henry Clinton Dimmitt Jr., and Charles Edward "Jack" Dimmitt, her beloved husband and one son preceeded her in death.

She was known as a faithful servant of God and was happy to quote scriptures and simply talking about the "Goodness of God". Her favorite scripture was Psalm 25, "Unto the Lord, do I lift up my soul....". and she loved to hear; "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". She truly loved to be with her family and her home was always opened to company.

Also left to mourn are one sister Florence Elizabeth (Dimmitt) Waller, and one brother, Clarence Clifford Dimmitt.

Mother Lillian Blanche Dimmitt Wright went from labor to reward on Monday, July 23, 2001 at 5:00 p.m., in her home surrounded by her family. She was laid to eternal rest at New Crown Cemetery.
