Services for Mrs. Evelyn E. Akers, 66, formerly of Hymera, who died Friday evening at Evansville Health Center, were at 1:00 p.m. today at McHugh Hymera Chapel with the Rev. Charles Archer officiating. Burial was in Little Flock Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Bernard E. Thomas of Marshall, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Berniece Layman of Farmersburg and Mrs. Margorie Whitlock of Evansville; a brother, Herbert Shepherd of Shelburn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
