Mr. Ruther Barnett, of 319 Central, died at a local hospital Friday night following a brief illness.

Survivors, wife, Mrs. Valine Barnett; daughter, Miss Ruby Barnett; father, Mr. Ramie Barnett; stepmother, Mrs. Lucille Barnett, both of Gainesville, Fla.; sister, Mrs. Gladys Woody of Atlanta, Ga.; stepbrother, Mr. James Calloway of this city; six aunts, Mesdames Floyd Brown, Evelyn Powell, Estelle Shaw, Hazel Griffith, all of this city; Willie Mae Griffith of Atlanta; Mary Lou Hopkins of Comer, Ga.; three uncles, Messrs. Bride Griffith of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jim of Tampa, Fla., and John Griffith of Athens, Ga.; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Thursday, 1 p.m., at Hardwick's Memorial Chapel, Rev. H. L. Searcie officiating.

Interment, National Cemetery.

The body will be at the home today, 6 p.m. Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home in charge.
