Patricia Anne Turner Barker, 58, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2008. Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her parents, James K. and Juanita N. Turner. She was an associate in the Paint and Hardware department at Walmart in Bonsack and a member of Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Bobby "Bob" Barker; daughter, Jennifer P. Stroupe, of Roanoke; son, James Russell Philpott and wife, Patra, of Salem; grandchildren, Angel Kenyi, of the United States Army, Korie Philpott, Troy Philpott and Maxx Philpott; greatgrandchildren, Emmanuel, Elijah and Isabelle Kenyi; and a number of cousins including Joan Kelly. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Park.
