Former Sumnerite Dies Wednesday

Funeral Services Saturday For Mrs. Albert Hoth, 71, of Westport, Minnesota

Mrs. Albert Hoth, 71, of Westport, Minnesota, a former resident, died Wednesday, April 9, at Glennwood Hospital, Glenwood, Minnesota, as a result of a heart ailment.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Villard, Minnesota, and interment was at Villard.

Minnie Sell was born December 6, 1881, at Sumner, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Albert Hoth at Sumner, April 6, 1905. In 1924, they moved to Minnesota and lived on a farm southeast of Westport until 1928. That year they moved to Westport where Mr. Hoth still lives.

Eight children were born to this union. One died in infancy. The remaining children are, Alois, Fairbanks, Alaska, Leslie, Glenwood, Minnesota, Mrs. Ruth Sheets, Long Beach, California, Mrs. Alice Pantzy, Villard, Minnesota, Ruth, India, California, Albert Hoth, of Washington, State, Mrs. Eldoris Livingston, Glenwood, Minnesota.

Besides her husband, and the above named children she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Conrad Nolte, and Mrs. Louise Nuss of Sumner, and Mrs. Tillie Bellis, Cedar Falls, one brother, Ervin Sell of Waterloo, and 14 grandchildren.

Mrs. Minnie Hoth, resident of Westport, passed away Wednesday morning April 9, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Villard at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Adam's Cemetery, at Villard.

Mrs. Minnie Hoth

Funeral services were held from St. John's Lutheran Church at Villard on Saturday April 12, at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Minnie Hoth who passed away at the Glenwood Community Hospital on April 9. The services were conducted by Rev. Kath. The church choir sang with Mrs. Robert Remington at the organ. Interment was made in the Adams cemetery in Villard. The casket bearers were Francis Gaffaney, William Simpson, Rupert Judkins, Lee Hamilton, William Welsh, and Ellsworth Bentley.

Mrs. Minnie Hoth (nee Minnie Sell) was born in Sumner, Iowa on December 6, 1881 and was past 70 years of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage on April 6, 1905 to Albert Hoth at Sumner, Iowa. They resided on a farm there until 1924 when they came to Minnesota and farmed for four years. In 1928 they moved to Westport. Five years ago she suffered a stroke and had been in ill health since.

Their union was bless with 8 children, one who passed away in infancy. Surviving children are: Alois, Fairbanks, Alaska, Leslie of Glenwood, Mrs. Ruth Sheets of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Wm., Pantze, Villard, Reuben of Indio, California, Albert of Pendleton, Oregon, Mrs. El Doris Livingston of Glenwood. There are 14 grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother live in Iowa.
