Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
Elsie was born May 8, 1920 in St. Helens, England and passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Willis-Knighton South. She was a homemaker and loving aunt.
Her husband, Thomas A. Atwood, preceded Elsie in death.
Survivors are her niece, Susan Poulson and husband, Leslie of Prescot, England; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Heritage Manor Stratmore Nursing and Rehab Center and the doctors and nurses at Willis-Knighton South for the professional and loving care given to Elsie.
