"E. [G] L. Dickerman"
E. [G] L. Dickerman, 88, for the past 22 years a farmer in San Patricio County, died last night at his home in the Taft community.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. V[Z]ada Holmes of North Dakota; one brother Fred Dickerman of Ishkosh, Wis.; and a sister, Mrs. Belle Phillips of Janesville, Wis.
Desceased was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Methodist Church. Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the home to the Taft Methodist Church with the Rev. R. E. Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Taft Cemetery under the direction of David T. Peel.
Gertie and George never had any children of their own, but raised niece Zada Alfretta Smith Dickerman Holmes after her mother, Alberta Alfaretta Richards Smith, died in 1901.
George's brother Frank W. Dickerman lived with George and Gertrude Dickerman at one time.
