Charles Crocker, 61 year old retired former owner of Vinita Transfer Company, died Wednesday at his home in Vinita. He was born on August 22, 1891 in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Ina Crocker; his daughters, Faye Laura Burnside and Jimmie Ladene Mitchell, both of Vinita, and Evelyn Hope Bowman of Nowata; his sisters, Mrs. J. L. Sutton of Oakland, California, Mrs. George Dale of Francis, and Mrs. Hunter Laster of Tulsa; his brothers, John Crocker of Barnsdall and Jack Crocker of Wagoner; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Methodist Church with Rev. W. L. Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
