With his brother, the late A.G. Delmas, Irving Paul Delmas was one of the pioneer pecan growers of the gulf coast and was one of the originators of the paper shell pecan.

He was survived by his widow and six children: Misses Merced M., Olivia V., and Forestine Delmas, and Messers. J. Jefferson, Lee A., and Randolph B. Delmas, all of Pascagoula.
