Colleen Anne (Gibbons) Daugherty And her unborn son, died peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, July 30, 2007. Born on January 8, 1981 she was the beloved wife of Brian Daugherty and the loving daughter of Greg and Mary Gibbons, all of Oshkosh. Despite her short life, her example to persevere under difficult circumstances will be remembered and emulated by family and friends forever. In light of the many challenges, her successes were many and accomplishments grand. Colleen was a very compassionate, determined, courageous, as well as talented and creative individual who inspired all she met, especially her family. Colleen graduated from Lourdes Academy as a valedictorian in 1999 and completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the UW-Oshkosh in 2006, graduating from the School of Nursing with honors and with a minor in psychology. She was employed as a registered nurse at St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. Along with her loving family, her dogs Stanley and Riley provided much joy and pleasure in her life. In addition to her husband and her parents, Colleen is survived by her loving sister, Meghan (Charlie) Rietschel of Andover, MN and their children, Michaela and Adam, whom Colleen adored. She is also survived by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Douglas and Cyndi Daugherty and brother-in-law, Michael of Indianapolis, IN. She is further survived by paternal grandparents, Ruth and Bernard Gibbons of Monroe, as well as very faithful and loving aunts and uncles including The Honorable J.P. (Mary Ellen) Stadtmueller of Whitefish Bay, WI, Carol Stadtmueller of Brookfield, WI, Thomas (Marilyn) Stadtmueller of Lee's Summit, MO, Patricia (Thomas) Wildman, West Hartford, CT, Gerald (Catherine Luther) Stadtmueller, Oshkosh, WI, Debbie (Lloyd) Haeft, Albany, WI, Jeff (Jane) Gibbons also of Albany, WI, Jennifer (Robert) Duxstad, Monroe, WI, Margaret (Joseph) Frint also of Monroe, WI, and Jospeh (Kelly) Gibbons, of Moore, OK. She is further survived by many loving and caring cousins including her very special friend, Liz Stadtmueller. Colleen was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Irene Stadtmueller.
