Charles E. Colvin, 81

Charles E. Colvin, 81, of 1900 Indian Trail, WL, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, in Home Hospital.

Born on March 29, 1917, in Brookston, he had lived in West Lafayette most of his life.

He married Dorothy J. Rupley on Nov. 20, 1941, in Lafayette, and she survives.

Mr. Colvin worked at the Purdue University Theater Tech with Elliott Hall of Music and Loeb Playhouse for 22 1/2 years. He retired in 1979.

He served in the Air Force during World War II with the 12th and 82nd Bomber Group in China, Burma and India Sauadron.

Mr. Colvin was a member of the Federated Church, past member of Masonic Lodge 724 Scottish Rite, Eagles 394, and Elks Port Charlotte, Fla. 1732. He was affiliated with the Industrial Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employer and Moving Picture Operations of the United States and Canada Union 174.

Surviving with his wife is a son, ***, two daughters, *** and Carol Miner of Lafayette.
