David M. Hinkley, 18, of Cheyenne died April 22 near Laramie.

He was born in Cheyenne on March 3, 1988, and has lived here all of his life.

He was a senior at Cheyenne's Central High and was involved in the Upward Bound Program through the University of Wyoming.

He will be remembered by his parents, Bill and Roberta Hinkley; his brother, Robert Hinkley; family and numerous friends for his wit, humor and good-natured personality.

Dave had grown fond of the outdoors, never getting enough and always wanting to find friends to go explore the Pole Mountain area. Dave had a love for life and chose to share it with everyone he knew.

Dave and his older brother, Bob, had grown closer as they got older. Dave was Bob's other half. One brother was usually not mentioned without the other. "Bob and Dave" shared their friends. Dave had decided to become a certified welder and one day wanted to have his own business. He was due to attend Casper College to get his certification.

On the day of his death, Dave was doing what he enjoyed most: He was in the hills with some of his closest friends exploring the land. Dave now joins his older sister, Ivy Anne Hinkley, in heaven.

Dave will always be missed and remembered and forever loved. Peace Brother.

The funeral is 1 p.m. today at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Mr. Guy Landers and the Rev. Mark Porter officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Carre, Bryan Boettner, Jeremiah Salyards, Eli McIrvin, Robert Hinkley and Ethan Knapp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Porter, Shawn Teasley, Cody Meares, Pat Zimmerman, Joel Bliss, Rory Johnson, Ivory Griffin, Brandon Griffin and all of Dave's numerous friends.
