A funeral for April Abbie-Stepro, 44, a lifetime Nevada resident, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 411 N. Saliman Road.

Viewing will be at noon Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Abbie-Stepro died July 25, 2003 at Washoe Medical Center of complications from breast cancer. She was born April 16, 1959 in Reno, to James Sr. and Ruth Pierce Abbie.

She graduated from Earl Wooster High School.

Mrs. Abbie-Stepro was a member of the Washoe Tribe and affiliated with the Reno/Sparks Indian Colony. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her father in February, 1991, and brother, Mark G., in February 2000.
