Homer R. Weikle, Sr., 57, of Cerro Gordo died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital.
Funeral services for Homer R. Weikle, Sr. will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born July 11, 1911, in Piatt County, a son of Odie and Elizabeth Gloden Weikle.
Mr. Weikle, a retired shipping clerk for Decatur Brass Co., lived in Decatur for 20 years before moving to Cerro Gordo three years ago.
He married Edna M. Pierson in Decatur in September of 1948. She survives.
He also leaves one son, Homer Jr., address unknown; stepchildren, Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Walters and William and Eddie Crawford, all of Decatur; one brother, Leslie, of the state of Kansas; six sisters, Mrs. Irene McMillin of Decatur; Mrs. Pearl Kirk of Oklahoma; Mrs. Lula Robinson of Kerrick, Tex.; Mrs. Bertha Bales, Mrs. Erma Elliot and Mrs. Lillie Huckbey, all of Guymon, Okla.
