Betty was born in Livingston, Kentucky on April 18th, 1923, daughter of the late James Arthur and Cynthia Alice Renner Mason. She was a member of the Pine Hill Holiness Church, enjoyed traveling, and fishing.
Betty was survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William Barron, whom she married on November 15th, 1946; two sons, Billy (and Janice) Barron and Ricky (and Lucille) Barron; two daughters, Joann Meadows and Janet (and Earl) Ashby; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Bradley; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and neighbors who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur Mason and Cynthia Alice Mason; one son, Charles Eddie Barron; three brothers, Tom Mason, Oscar Mason, and Jesse Mason; and four sisters, Fannie Mason, Maggie Parrett, Ida Smith, and Lela Jones.
Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 in the Chapel of the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Hensley and Jasper Carpenter officiating.
Burial followed in the Ottawa Cemetery.
