Section 94, Lots 3101-3128, conjoined.
Two pink granite Howland monuments (Samuel Shaw, in shadow at left, and Gardiner Greene Howland, sunlit) crown an enormous 28-lot mound over the burial vault of the Howland, Wolcott, and associated families. Thirteen smaller stones for the family and one stone for Ann Hudson, nurse in the Robert Howland household, also stand on the mound. An enormous uninscribed vault door beckons on the northeast slope of the mound. Most of those buried here are not memorialized in any way on the surface.
