Survived by his second wife, Lou Hearon, a daughter, Sharon Kay Hearon Bennett, a son, Rickie Darwin Hearon and two step daughters, Rhona Butler and Janna Shockey.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Freeman Hearon.
He served in the Army in WWII and retired as a Fireman for the City of Tyler.
He hunted deer and turkey for many years in the Hill Country of Texas with his brothers and nephews. He loved trading horses and tack and trapped many wild hogs in his later years.
