Funeral service for George (Dad) Henry, who died Friday morning at the Henderson Hospital, was conducted at the A. Crim Funeral Home Chapel yesterday at 2?30 PM, the Rev. John H. Gardner, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Interment was in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Noble Davis, W. E. Pearson, L. J. Plunkett, Thomas Watt, Robert Morris and Sim Greer.
"Dad", a well like resident of Henderson for many years, was born Dec. 10, 1867 in Georgia. He kept at work until he was past 80 when failing health forced his retirement.
He is survived by a son, Harold Henry, Seattle, Washington, daughter, Mrs. Alvin Wheeler, Norman, Oklahoma, three brothers,: Rex Henry, Casadora, GA; B. M. Henry, Chattanooga, TN; and Tom Henry, Cooper Heights, GA; two sisters, Mrs J. H. roane, Norman, OK and Mrs John Myers, Chickamauga, GA.
George was the son of Josiah & Hannah Eliza (Dickey) Henry
