Graveside rites for Woody Looney Bass, 74, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Provence Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Born June 21, 1931, at Eastman to Gerald and Lucile Boydston Bass, he died March 29, 2006, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, two grandsons and a stepdaughter.
He married Mary Francis Owen. His second wife was Rebecca Pearl Wilmoth and he married his third wife, Joyce Honeycutt, in 1974, at Durant.
He worked as a professional carpet layer in the midwest area for more than 50 years. He loved to watch western movies.
Survivors include, Woody Bass, Ardmore, Susie Burkett, Ardmore, Paula Bass, Tryon, Gabriel Bass, Ardmore, Woodey S. Bass, Guthrie, stepson, Franklin W. Bailey, Silver City, Nev., Warren Sexton, Ardmore; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Rickey Parker, Ardmore, and sister, Jackie Lynn Parker, Lone Grove.
