Lorna was the fourth child of four children born to Henry Franklin Hacking, II and his beloved wife Vera Jacobs Hacking. Sadly, about three weeks later her mother died suddenly, leaving the family devistated. Her loving grandparents, Henry and Martha Wilcox Hacking raised their grandchildren as their own and provided them with a loving home. The uncles and aunt still at home, including my father Kenneth, became more like her older siblings. This is why for many years I called her Aunt Lorna when she would babysit or we would visit her loving home.

She married Jack F. Bailey on 16 September 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were a dashingly beautiful couple--and their beauty was inside as well as outside. They made their home in Lyman and had five children: Bart, Brenda, Brad, Bonnie, and Beverly. Their home was filled with joy and love. Their family was active in the community and faithful in service to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

When her young children were still at home, Lorna began to be in a lot of pain and they soon learned she was suffering from cancer. All too soon she returned to her Father in Heaven and left her family missing her greatly. However, her family has sweet memories and strong faith that they will greet her again with loving arms.
