ELWOOD — Carol Sue Courtney, 78, Elwood, died July 30, 2008, at the Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
She was the secretary to the principal and treasurer at Elwood Community High School for 29 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lloyd H. Courtney; two sons, Brian (wife, Kandie) Courtney and Kevin (wife, LouAnn) Courtney; three sisters, Nan (husband, Gordon) Lawrence, Joyce (husband, Bill) Smith and Marlene (husband, Tom) Davies; brother, David (wife, Betty) Kurtz; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.
