Brownsville. TN - Ms. Dorothy June Cobb Childress, age 73, passed away in her home near Brownsville, Tennessee, Friday, February 2, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Mr. Carroll "Junior" Childress, and a daughter, Ms. Beverly June Childress. Mrs. Childress retired from International Harvester. Memphis, Tennessee, was a homemaker, and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Thursday February 8, 2007 with burial following in Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Childress is survived by two sons: Barry Childress, his wife, Mary, Bells, TN and their children, Elizabeth, Jillian, and Courtney Childress and Bruce Childress, his wife, Tracie, Kennebunk, ME and their children, Ben Arendsee. William and Devrah Childress; and three sisters: Annie Ruth Cobb Gann, Jacksonville, FL, Joy Carr Moss, Memphis, TN, and Linda Carr Czigan, Woodbridge. VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the Brownsville Funeral Home.
