William Sherman Ferris Sr., 88, Bountiful, died Feb. 4 of natural causes in Salt Lake City. Born Jan. 4, 1885, Salt Lake City, to Franklin Samuel and Celestia Dockstader Ferris. Married Leola Grace Scott Nov. 16, 1904, Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Oct. 19, 1972. Electrician. High Priest, Bountiful 36th LDS Ward. Survivors: sons, daughters, William S. Jr., Medford, Ore.; George C., Sacramento, Calif.; Josephine L. Kirkham, Salt Lake City; Mrs Sterling K. (Ellen) Hixson, Bountiful; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday 1 p.m., 727 N. 400 East, Bountiful, where friends call one hour prior to services. Burial Bountiful Memorial Park.
