Lourissie Kiser, 74, of Hanover, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Whitesburg, Ky., the daughter of Jay and Bertha Taylor Sexton. She retired after 26 years with Grote Industries. She was a member of the Little Brown Full Gospel Church in Sharps Chapel, Tenn.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Ann Smith of Hanover; one son, Leslie Darrell Kiser of Nabb; two sisters, Rena May Sexton Collins of Columbus and Martha Jane Sexton of Charlestown; two brothers, Ray Sexton of Austin, Texas, and Harold Sexton of Charlestown; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Kiser, who died July 30, 2004; one infant daughter, Judy Faye Vance; her parents; one sister, Lettie Faye Begley; and six brothers, Wendell, Don, Paul, Columbus, Clacie and Carlus Sexton.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vail-Holt Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
