d/o Kenneth Eugene and Blanche Irene (Kichline) Eldred. Wife (divorced) of Frederick W. Breidster. Majored in French at Milwaukee Downer College (a defunct private college for women) and worked in management at the phone company for a brief time. Active in the Milwaukee Junior League; under her tenure, this organization published Be Wisconsin's Guest, a highly regarded cookbook. After suffering the loss of four children through miscarriage, Dean and Fred adopted two children, Carrie and Stephen. Their third child, Cassie, was successfully brought to term and completed the family. The family first lived on Lombardy Road in Fox Point, later building a custom home in the same community. Dean was a talented, beautiful, warm-hearted woman who made everyone who knew her feel important and valued.

Mrs. Claudine E. Breidster, 58, of Milwaukee, Wis, died Wednesday, May 16, 1990. She was born April 20, 1932 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Kenneth and Blanche (Kichline) Eldred. She was a graduate of the Bainbridge High School, class of 1949, and Milwaukee Downer College, class of 1953. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Bodensteiner of St. Anthony, Idaho and Mrs. Catherine Holmwood of Boston, Mass; one son, Stephen Breidster of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie (Eldred) Bossler of Unadilla; also surviving are four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on May 19, 1990 at the Christ Episcopal Church in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. A family graveside service was held Friday, May 25, 1990 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, with the Rev. David S. Ebans, rector of St. Peters Episcopal Church, Bainbridge, officiating. Local arrangements were made by the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney.
