Daily Times, Monday, March 18, 1907

Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at his home, 1020 Warren street, occurred the death of Fritz Struck at the age of 65 years. The deceased was born in Stoltenberg, Germany, Feb. 11, 1842, and was married there to Miss Katherine Vogt (sic) Dec. 20, 1863. The young couple came to America and directly to Davenport in 1876 (should be 1867), where they have lived ever since. Mr. Struck was a contractor and builder. He belonged to the Volunteer Firemen for ten years.

Mr. Struck is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Struck and nine children, Mrs. Theodore Jansen, Mrs. E. E. Meadley, Mrs. L. Berg, Mrs. W. A. Paarmann, Mrs. R. A. Kringle (should be Pringle), E. C. Struck, Hugo Struck, Harry Struck and George Struck.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home, 1020 Warren street. Interment will be made in the City cemetery.

The funeral of Fritz Struck was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home, 1020 Warren street. The Carpenters' Union attended in a body and Gustav Donald officiated. The pallbearers were four sons and two sons-in-law of the deceased. Interment was made in the City cemetery.

NOTE: Fritz was originally buried in City Cemetery as his obituary says but on September 2, 1931 he was moved to Fairmount Cemetery to be buried next to his wife Katherine Struck who passed away in 1930.
