He married Pauline Wells on Feb. 6, 1947, in Notre Dame Church with the Rev. A.D. Charbonneau officiating. The marriage ended in divorce. She died in 1973. He married Patricia Gorrow on Oct. 12, 1957, in the Methodist Church. The marriage was later blessed at Notre Dame Church.
Mr. Fritz retired from St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in 1983 after 37 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, auctions and garage sales. He was an honorary member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons and their wives, Russell and Patricia, Schenectady, and Robert and Alice, Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters and their husbands, Tina and Daniel Green, Ogdensburg, and Vicky and Donald Cook, Ogdensburg; a sister, Marion Butler, Newburgh, and three grandchildren. A daughter, Sandra, died in 1958, and a granddaughter died in 1980.
