S.P. BOOTON DIES SUNDAY MORNING; OTHERS SUCCUMB

Simpson P. Booton, age 74 years, widely known and respected citizen near Wayne, died Sunday following illness with stomach trouble and complications of old age which extended over several years.

The deceased was born January 12, 1850, and was first married to Minerva Jane Sanson on February 13, 1873. Two children were born to this union and both survive: Reuben Franklin Booton and Joseph Bascom Booton, both of Wayne. Mr. Booton was married second time to Hany Sellards, September 24, 1903. He was a Christian man, having joined the M.E. South at Wayne young in life.

In addition to his widow and two children, the deceased is survived by one sister an three brothers, Mrs. Nancy Dillon, of Huntington; Franklin Booton of Kansas City, Missouri; J.D. Booton of Welch, Oklahoma; and McFarline Booton, of Huntington.

Funeral services were in charge of Rev. A.W. Damron at the residence Monday and interment made on the farm of the deceased."
