Deacon Nathaniel Marshall Whitney Sr., 2895 Olive St., Denver, departed this life June 2, 1981. Predeceased by wife, Theresa Whitney, October 1969. A former Pueblo resident, Mr. Whitney was born April 1, 1903. He retired from CF&I Steel Corp. after 25 years of service. Mr. Whitney was a member of Eureka Lodge No. 2, F&AM. Survivors include his children, Nathaniel A. Whitney Jr., Mary F. Mitchell and Michael and Willie Herman; sisters, Helen Shorty and Edith M. Johnson, both of Denver; daughter-in-law, Peggy Whitney; son-in-law, George Mitchell; grandchildren JoAnn M. Joseph and Theresa W. Whitney; a great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Service 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. F.L. Chandler officiating. Interment and Masonic rites, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
