80, of Mannford, born to Charley and Ruby (Mills) Bixler. His mother preceded him death shortly after he was born. He was raised by his father and step-mother, Willie Mae (Wilkinson) Bixler. He received his B.S. Degree from Oklahoma A & M College (Oklahoma State University). Charles was honorably discharged from the Navy after serving during WWII. He was employed as an Aeronautical Engineer for Chance Vought (Dallas, TX) and later for General Electric in the Missile Space Division (Valley Forge. PA). In 1989 he received the highest award in General Electric, "Engineer of the Year" for sustained creativity and professionalism.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Tuesday Broadway Baptist Church (Sand Springs) interment with military honors at Woodland Memorial Park. Ninde Brookside Chapel
