MARY ELLEN MAYFIELD PASSES AWAY MONDAY

Mrs. Mary Ellen Mayfiled, widow of the late Green Mayfield, for many years a resident of Clackamas Co. died at Highland on Monday evening, January 23, after a months illness. Mrs. Mayfield was well known in the section when she has resided since 1867, coming to Clackamas Co. from Missouri. She was a native of Tennessee, and was born 1843. Mrs. Mayfield is survived by the following children, Mrs. Gred North, of Gladstone; Mrs. Charles Robeson, Mrs. Chester Gard, Miss Anna Mayfield, Jessie Mayfield, of Highland; Mrs. Frank Grossmiller, of Shirbal; Willis Mayfield, of Gladstone; Finis Mayfield and Grand Dalles, Washington.

The funeral services are to be conducted from the family residence by Meyers and Brady on Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock with Rev. Smith of Lents, officiating.

Mrs. G. W. Mayfield, who has resided in Clackamas county for years, passed away at their home at Island at 7 o'clock Monday evening. The funeral was held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the family residence. Mrs. Mayfield's body was interred at the Ringo cemetery at Clarkes.
