My Auntie Mabel was born on a small farm in Viola, Idaho to George and Mary Jane Rothwell Hare. Auntie Mabel was actually my Maternal Great-Aunt, she had one Sibling, Myrtle L. Hare Nelson, my Maternal Grandmother.

I know that my Auntie Mabel was a school teacher and taught in rural school houses in Latah County, Idaho.

Eventually, Auntie Mabel married Lloyd DeLong and they moved to Clarkston, Washington. I have very fond memories of my Auntie Mabel, visting both her and Uncle Lloyd at their home in Clarkston, WA and in Moscow, Idaho when they came up to visit relatives and my Family on the Nelson Family Farm. I also have fond Memories of visiting Auntie Mabel at my Grandparent's, Fred and Myrtle Nelson, who eventually moved from Moscow, Idaho and lived in Lewiston, Idaho and finally, in Clarkston, WA. We were always a very close Family and spent lots of time together, which I will always remember for the rest of my life.

One of the best Memories I have of Auntie Mabel and Uncle Lloyd was the Camping Trips we all went on together, my Parents, Jack and Diana Morse (Auntie Mabel's Niece and Nephew), Eugene Morse (my Brother), Chandie and Connie Morse (my Sister's), Fred and Myrtle Nelson (Sister and Brother-in-Law), the most fond memory being a long trip to the Salmon River, Redfish Lake and the Sawtooth Mountains, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and then on to Yellowstone Park and Virginia City, Montana. We also went on many Camping Trips and Picnic's, as a Group, to the Lochsa/Selway River Wilderness Area in the Nezperce National Forest (Bitteroot Mountains), by Lowell,Idaho. I will cherish these Memories for the rest of my Life.

Uncle Lloyd passed away and Auntie Mabel spent alot of her time with her Sister and Brother-in-Law, Myrtle and Fred Nelson, who also lived in Clarkston, Washington.

I remember one time coming home to visit Family after not returning to Idaho from Minnesota for four years, I just graduated from Nursing School in Minnesota. My Husband at the time and I were driving along the Clearwater River between Lowell, Idaho and Orofino, Idaho and there was my Grandfather and Grandmother, Fred and Myrtle Nelson and Auntie Mabel in the car right beside us!!! We stopped and had a dish of ice cream together and my Husband at the time took a Photo of the four of us standing by the Clearwater River which I have displayed to this day on my chest of drawers in my Bedroom at Home.

Auntie Mabel required heart surgery due to health problems and she had the Surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Unfortunately, Auntie Mabel never awoke from the anesthesia after the Surgery and passed away, with her Sister, Myrtle and Niece, Diana, at her side.

Mom and Gene drove to Clarkston, WA on Memorial Day Weekend this Year and placed flowers on Auntie Mabel and Uncle Lloyd's Graves at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston, WA, they said they looked real pretty.

We all love you Auntie Mabel and will forever cherish your Memory and the Memories of the Good Times we all had together.
