Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Travis Laduke officiating. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett was born Feb. 19, 1905, in Hope. She married William Pearce Garrett on Aug. 1, 1924, in Hallettsville. They resided in Yoakum until 1943 when they moved to Amarillo.
She and her husband owned H&H Cleaners until his death on Jan. 4, 1961. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and continued to do alterations in her home until she was 90 years of age.
Lovingly known to her family and friends as "Granny," she loved her God and was devoted to her family and church. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and the Ruth Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pearce; a son-in-law, Louis Franks; a granddaughter, Zee McQueen, and her husband, Buster; and a great-great-grandson, Sawyer McQueen.
Survivors include three daughters, Bess Yarbrough and husband, Herman, of Memphis, Billye Jean Talley and husband, Bill, of Amarillo and Barbara Flynn and husband, Jerry, of Evant; five granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 5015 Crockett St.
The family suggests memorials be to Faith City Mission, Meals on Wheels, Crown of Texas Hospice, or a favorite charity.
